I’ve always believed that clothing should tell a story—one woven with memory, culture, and care. Growing up surrounded by the textures of Indian craftsmanship, I found myself drawn to the quiet beauty of handloom textiles. That love stayed with me, even as I built a career in design and brand strategy.

Dor was born from that love—a dream to reconnect with our roots while creating something timeless. I started this journey not just to make sarees, but to build a platform where heritage could thrive in a modern world.

Along the way, I was joined by Febin Joseph, life partner and now co-founder, whose strength in operations and business strategy perfectly complements my creative vision. Together, we’ve built Dor as a space where traditional weaving meets thoughtful design, and where artisans are not just workers, but storytellers in their own right.

At Dor Handloom, every piece is more than fabric—it’s a thread that ties past to present, artisan to wearer, and passion to purpose. We work closely with weaving communities across India, focusing on fair practices, sustainability, and designs that respect the art form while embracing modern life.
